System slows down upon heavy HDD or CD-ROM I/O operations
Whenever I copy big files around on my HDD's, or writing a CD, or just doing cat /dev/zero /dev/null, the system slows down sensibly.

Booting Windows with Grub causes extended partitions to dissapear

NO, I'm NOT kidding. When I power up the computer I have to disconnect the keyboard and plug
it back in, otherwise it (the keyboard) won't work.
X Windows screen freeze and 100% CPU with NVidia drivers
Shortly after launching X by startx I get complete computer freeze. Sometimes the mouse may still move and if I have xawtv running it will keep playing video and sound.
